Our story

We are a group of 16 vegan friends who originally came from Israel and fell in love with the natural beauty of this country. Inspired by our passion for the environment and sustainable living, we decided to make Costa Rica our home and create a special place where we could share with others our love for nature and animals.

Most of the hotel’s income are transferred directly in favor of our huge no-kill rescue center called Animal love

We are glad to be a vegan eco-tourism destination that promotes sustainable and compassionate living. We believe that all animals are deserving of respect and love, and we strive to create a space that reflects this ethos. Our commitment to veganism is rooted in our deep love and care for the environment and the creatures that inhabit it.

  This place was an amazing experience! We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The hotel doubles as a shelter to numerous cats and dogs. So profits truly do go to help the animals. Dog walking was available for free and we were able to do that in the mornings and evenings. It was lovely and the dogs were adorable. While there, the staff were beyond helpful and constantly went out of their ways to make our stay outstanding. And they very greatly did. We were always able to ask the receptionists at the front desk any questions we had, and they always had very helpful answers. The rooms were also cleaned every day. The food was absolutely delicious!! Everything was vegan and the head chef Naama did a wonderful job with every meal. You can really tell that she puts her whole heart into everything. She explained that she makes everything from scratch and the food was one of a kind! The activities we took part in while there were the night and day nature tours, and the ATV experience. The tours were led by Pedro and he was beyond experienced with the nature. With him guiding us, we were able to see frogs and owls at night, and sloths, monkeys, iguanas, and even toucans in the morning. It was great!!! The ATV tour occurred in the midst of rain storm, but it was greatly enjoyable nevertheless. The whole staff there joined us regardless of the storm and went to great extremes to make sure we enjoyed the drive. Overall this place was a wonderful and relaxing place to stay at, and I would highly recommend it.

  We spent 5 wonderful days here and had the most relaxing time in the middle of nature! The cuisine is on point. Our favorite was the Israeli plate and the burrito. Gourmet chef Naama explained to us how she makes everything from scratch. There is a lot of experience involved and every plate looks and tastes amazing!

Besides that we were astonished by the nature that surrounded us. The chairs in front of our rooms allowed us to watch the hamming birds in the morning. There is fresh speciality coffee that the room service brings every day and a coffee machine in the room that we used every day. We saw tucans, blue jeans frogs, another green-redish frog, a sloth and other birds as well. That’s almost the amount of a national park!

We participated in 4 amazing activities: Zip lining including Superman, Canyoning, a guided nature walk and ATV. The guides granted a super safe yet fun time for all of us.

In the evenings we used the Jakuzzi and the pool and felt like we were in a spa retreat.

Numerous people from the staff keep the place clean, attractive and beautiful.

And the best part: All the proceeds from the hotel go to their own animal rescue center. We volunteered with the dog walking and visited the cat shelter and saw the enormous effort that the owners of the hotel invest in rescuing dogs, cats and other domestic animals from the streets of Costa Rica. Their love for animals is the reason why the cuisine is solely vegan. You wouldn’t realize it from the taste! Naama made vegan food attractive even for non vegans.

Oh, and the Wifi was consistently working good.

All in all, we recommend to stay not only one night but to take the time to participate in some of their great activities. That way you’ll witness more nature and get a comprehensive understanding of the concept of this place.

  Best Birthday Ever!
We are about to leave the place after spending two nights at Lands in Love. It was my son's 6th birthday and he wanted to celebrate by experiencing some great adventures. It was wonderful from the beginning to the end. The tour guides are incredible people willing to make their best for the guests and the tours are amazing. Lands in love has one mission; to support animals, so every little cent counts. There are many different ways to support this animal center; you can do it by donating, buying souvenirs, and the fact of just staying here. They have over 600 hundred dogs and over 400 cats and all of them are well taken care of, so you know the money you give will not be a waste. The food is the best vegan food you would ever try, if I can make sure that whatever I cook comes out of my kitchen just as good as it comes out of their kitchen, I would go vegan immediately. The food is medicine for the soul; they know how to do it right. Thank you for the stay and good luck in the future.

  Hermosa y pacífica
Los terrenos están muy bien cuidados. ¡La comida era deliciosa! El servicio fue personalizado y muy acogedor. El ambiente es muy relajante. . Asegúrate de acariciar al gato. Totalmente adorable. Almorzamos aquí mientras estábamos entre recorridos. Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos.

  We had the best time me and my wife.
We stayed there for 3 days. Had the best time crew was very nice and hospitable. Nama the chef explained and described how vegan food is prepared and made it so delicious. They are so dedicated to animal sheltering which are brought from all over the country to their place. Dogs, cats, horses, goats ducks rabbits and many more..   Land in Love - Worth the Visit
We had the best experience im Land in Love From the food to the advanture (zipline, trails etc..), All was amazing. If you are a vegan prepare yourself to a gourmet experience that you might not ever have again. Naamma is amazing with her creativity and the results are delicious.   ¡El mejor viaje de todos!
No puedo decir lo suficiente sobre lo maravilloso que fue mi viaje de cumpleaños número 82 a este lugar especial en marzo. ¡Mi hija y yo pasamos una semana cenando lo mejor! comida vegana, reservar excursiones por el hotel, pasear perros en el santuario de animales y disfrutar de una habitación que contaba con los elementos artísticos que se encuentran en todo el hotel. Toallas mullidas, toneladas de agua caliente y un gatito de visita. El personal es amable y muy servicial. El hotel es espacioso y confortable. Lo que ves en línea no es lo que siempre obtienes. Pero todo superó mis expectativas. Hicimos un recorrido por el santuario de animales y después de 50 años en el rescate de animales creo que es el Rolls Royce de los santuarios.

  Perfect vacation in Lands in Love
Our first visit to Costa Rica with Lands in Love was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious (special thanks to Naama for her warm hospitality). The extreme activities were thrilling and expertly organized. Alon made sure our one-day trip was seamless. We were impressed by their dedication to rescuing animals and even got to help walk a few dogs. It was a perfect vacation in a perfect place, and we can't wait to return!

  Excellent vegan food and adventure
We stayed in the Lands in Love Resort for 2 nights in November. Me and my spouse both love vegan food, this place was an excellent choice due to their fully vegan menu. We had all our meals during our stay at this restaurant. We had the opportunity to try out a lot of items in their menu. They have excellent variety in the menu, but we particularly loved all Israeli and Costa Rican dishes. The resort was also located amidst beautiful scenery with trails and waterfall within the property. We also did adventure activities booked through the resort and they took us canyoning and zip-lining in the cloud forest around the resort.

  Increíble paraíso vegano
¡Que hermoso lugar! Personal amable y comida INCREÍBLE. Solo estuvimos dos noches, pero queríamos revisar todo el menú, que es extenso (¡no es algo a lo que los veganos estén acostumbrados!). El chef, uno de los propietarios, vino a hablar con nosotros y fue muy amable. Ella nos contó la historia del lugar y el gran trabajo que hacen aquí operando un santuario sin matar para cientos de perros, gatos y otros animales que han sido descartados por una razón u otra. Las habitaciones estaban limpias y eran grandes. La ducha decente y la cama muy cómoda. El salón es espacioso y, aunque los muebles pueden no ser del gusto de todos, era cómodo. La piscina estaba limpia y a una temperatura encantadora, lo suficientemente fresca como para ser refrescante pero lo suficientemente cálida como para no tener ese momento ¡ooh al entrar! El hotel también nos ayudó con el transporte tanto desde el aeropuerto como hasta nuestro próximo hotel y había varios huéspedes realizando una variedad de tours y actividades. Hay muchos perros que ladran alegremente a cualquier humano que se acerque a ellos. Si bien esto se puede escuchar desde la recepción principal, las habitaciones sin duda están ubicadas específicamente en el otro extremo del complejo y, por lo tanto, esto no afectó nuestro sueño. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente tanto para veganos como para no veganos, ya que el menú está diseñado para ser apetecible para los consumidores de carne pero sin matar ningún animal. Un lugar perfecto para relajarse y estar en contacto con la naturaleza. ¡Gracias Tierras Enamoradas!
